**Income Lead** - £31,672 - £35,000 per annum (Salaries vary depending on experiences)

**Hours** - 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

**Service** - Housing & Property, Horspath Rd, OXON, OX4 2RH

**What You’ll Be Doing**:
We are looking for an** **enthusiastic and highly motivated Income Lead to join our dedicated Housing team at Response.

The Income Lead will play a significant role in ensuring that Response maximise the level of rents and service charges collection.

The Housing Teams focus is on the tenancy support and sustainment and creation of safe communities where clients can thrive and recover. This position is suited to an organised individual with great attention to detail who wants to join us to enable people to work towards greater independence.

**Overall job responsibility - Some of the core duties include**:

- Provide direction, expertise and guidance on matters connected to income collection.
- To monitor rent accounts for arrears and credits and address any issues with proactive management of the arrears.
- Assist with preventing potential arrears and minimise the chances for tenancy breakdown through ensuring that processes are followed.
- To attend court where necessary in cases of evictions.
- To offer advice on rents arrears to Service Delivery and internal/ external stakeholders.
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate collection records to ensure that all liabilities due to the organisation are correctly billed and collected.

- Knowledge of housing benefit and welfare benefits.
- Demonstrable experience of increasing the collection of rent and service charges.
- Understanding of tenancy rights and responsibilities.
- Experience of working as part of a team and contribute effectively to the income collection and reduction of rent arrears.
- Dealing with people who experience mental health and vulnerabilities connected to their mental health or housing statu.s
