Our independent, highly specialised Grid and Infrastructure team assist landowners, developers and investors in realising renewable energy opportunities for their property assets. As a business, we were involved at the inception of large-scale onshore wind three decades ago and we’re still at the forefront, facilitating the repowering of original wind farms, introducing new technology and enabling essential infrastructure to support a modern, thriving and green economy.

Due to growth, we're looking an experienced professional to join our Grid and Infrastructure team based in Inverness (hybrid working). The position will work alongside our Head of Grid and other members of the team, on some of the countries leading Grid and Infrastructure projects. The work is varied and at the forefront of this diverse market.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Working alongside our Head of Inverness and Grid Consultant, advising clients on access rights, compensation claims, rental income and payments
- Report writing
- Client visits and assessments
- Business development
- Agreeing the purchase or transfer of land for operational purposes
- Resolving disputes between landowners and third parties
- Liaising with customers, land agents, legal representatives, planning authorities, key stakeholders, contractors and other colleagues to prepare consent documents
- Resolving any disputes over wayleave rights or landownership#

**About you**:

- A working knowledge of land consents for utilities projects - wayleave agreements, servitudes, leases and purchase arrangements
- Experience in gaining consent for projects, including dealing with disputes that arise from them and negotiating compensation
- A good working knowledge of the Electricity Act 1989, agricultural practices, land management practices, and an understanding of forestry. An understanding of valuations would be beneficial
- Good communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role
- Ideally RICS qualified or working towards MRICS status however this isn’t essential
- Pro active, passionate and hard working
- Good team player who enjoys a fast paced working environment
