Hull FC Community Foundation is the independent charitable arm of rugby league club Hull FC. Established in 2006, the Foundation uses the power of sport and strong local influence of the professional side to make the biggest difference possible in one of the most deprived communities in England through delivering needs led projects targeting four agendas: Sports and Physical Activity, Education and Employability, Health and Wellbeing, and Social Inclusion.

Annually, 15,000 people take part in our programmes across the Hull and East Yorkshire region, ranging from mass participation events within schools to focus one to one support with people going through crisis. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, young people, and adults through participation in sports and physical activity, and to raise aspirations and skills within young people and adults through bespoke learning and training programmes.

**About the Role**:
Hull FC Community Foundation is expanding its employability and training provision offers and therefore is looking to recruit a Participant Engagement Officer. The Participant Engagement Officer will be responsible for proactively recruiting learners into the Foundation’s post-16 education and employment interventions including the Hull FC Sports
College and Adult Education offer. To do this successfully will require the postholder to collaborate with local organisations to generate inward referrals, deliver bespoke activation events at Hull FC premises that raise awareness of courses, and work with education staff to support the learner’s induction.

Job Title: Participant Engagement Officer
Reporting To: Head of Foundation
Location: MKM Stadium, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 6HU
Hours: Full Time (37.5 Hours Per Week). Flexibility is expected, with some evening and weekend work required.
Primary Job Purpose: The Participant Engagement Officer will be responsible for proactively recruiting learners into the Foundation’s post-16 education and employment interventions including the Hull FC Sports College and Adult Education offer. To do this successfully will require the postholder to collaborate with local organisations to generate inward referrals, deliver bespoke activation events at Hull FC premises that raise awareness of courses, and work with education staff to support the learner’s induction.

**Salary**: £23,000 - £25,000
Term: Two Year Fixed Period

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Identify existing active community groups within the area and establish strong partnerships and working relationships with those and other related programmes.
- To support and participate in the delivery of community activities and events, with the aim of engaging new participants in the programme.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local job centres and the DWP to recruit individuals on programmes.
- Develop links and relationships with schools to promote education courses at the Hull FC Sports College.
- Build a network of local referral partners across the county to ensure the programme is accessible to those most in need.
- Ensure registration and monitoring information is collected and data entry completed as required to meet internal and external deadlines.
- To promote and generate interest in all education programmes through a variety of means including local events, social media, marketing campaigns and external visits to potential referral sources.
- To establish and maintain relationships with participants and provide careers advice, guidance and support to aid realistic progression.
- Frequently attend recruitment events across the UK
- Develop and deliver a programme of targeted on-campus recruitment activities for schools.
- To establish and maintain relationships with colleagues to provide a cohesive support network for participant.
- To keep up to date with local labour market information, training opportunities and funding initiatives.
- Day-to-day liaision with Delivery Partners and Hull FC staff members.
- Work with marketing department to highlight both participant and overall project success in conjunction with relevant key partners.
