We are looking for an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) in Surrey County Council.

Payrate: up to £37 (umb)

Based in Tandridge/Reigate

Role Information/Duties:

- The post will be based in a geographical area and the post holder will be required to work in both community and hospital settings. They will be part of a team and will be accountable to, and supervised by a Senior Approved Mental Health Professional/Service Manager.
- AMHPs will be expected to work with any combination or all of the following care groups: older people, people with physical, sensory, cognitive impairments, people with a learning disability, and people with mental health needs
- Promoting independence, choice and control is at the heart of this role. Therefore role holders will work in a person-centred way proactively seeking to empower individuals, their families and carers to maximise their potential for independence.
- As practitioners within the teams, the AMHP is expected to understand the recovery model and promote this way of working with people who use services/carers. They are also expected to promote this model of working with health colleagues and support their practice when necessary.
