About the Role

Our client, a renowned non-profit organisation, is seeking an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join their team at Safe Harbour in Woking. As a key member of the support facility's team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality services to individuals aged 18 and over.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate individual to work within our new mental health support facility. The successful candidate will have experience working within the mental health field and be able to deliver person-centred interventions. They will also possess strong professional boundaries and be confident in working independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide support and guidance to service users through a programme of support and psycho-social education tailored around their individual circumstances and needs.
  • To reduce the frequency and severity of mental health crises by providing alternative strategies for de-escalation when they do reach crisis.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working within the mental health field is essential.
  • Experience of group work is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding legislation.
  • Experience delivering person-centred interventions relating to mental health.
  • Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Robust professional boundaries.
