**Social Enterprise Business Advisor**

**Full Time (Job share welcome): Salary scale £25,000 - £30,000 (pro rata) dependent on experience and qualifications**

**Fixed term contract until March 2025**

This is an exciting position to join SWEDA to support the delivery of our Self Employment and Social Enterprise projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Working as part of a small team the SEBF Social Enterprise Business Advisor will provide specialist advice, information, support and training to help people in Sandwell and surrounding areas of the Black Country to develop and trade successfully as social businesses.
- To work with, and effectively manage, a portfolio of clients arranging, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating their programmes of support.
- To provide an advisory service to new, existing and potential entrepreneurs from disadvantaged background to aid and support them in the establishment and sustainability of their own businesses.
- Deliver business support training programme to meet the varying needs of people exploring and developing social enterprise.
- Deliver workshops and training materials that support the annual work-plan and provide high quality training materials for the participants on the project in line with the project outcomes.
- Deliver high quality business advice and training to emerging, new start and existing social businesses including: Social Enterprises governance, identifying appropriate legal structures and support with the registration process. Business and financial, social enterprise income generation and sustainability including market opportunities, self-income generation / trade, grant funding and social finance, social impact measurement and reporting.
- Host business support and enterprise events in communities across the project area.
- Work with all Local Delivery Partners to create a network of agencies, organisations and individuals that can help to support clients developing Social Enterprise
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of training and events where appropriate.
- Support the collecting of monitoring data as well as qualitative learning and insights e.g. testimonials and case studies.

The successful applicant will work as part of the team to deliver project targets. Services will be provided in Sandwell and across the Black Country. The post will be based in West Bromwich however the job will include local travel to support workshops and one to one client meetings at outreach venues across Sandwell and surrounding areas.
