Photonics Lead

This is an opportunity to lead a technical team within a seriously fast-growing start-up based in Cambridge.
A group of experts are commercialising quantum photonic technology and developing quantum networking systems and would very much like you to be part of their future success.
**As an experienced Photonics Lead, your role will be varied and give you the opportunity to**:
- Define and deliver the technical roadmap in close collaboration with the wider team
- Responsibility for photonics layers of prototype delivery to meet requirements
- Build and lead a world-class team that can scale effectively, providing active management and coaching
- Be the go-to technical lead in photonics systems, including management of product prototype and product architecture, design, development and manufacturing
- Support transition into manufacturing, customers, partners, and suppliers with technical product enquiries
**You will bring with you**:
- 12+ years photonics industry experience - at least 5 years' of this should be leading photonics R&D teams
- Demonstrated engineering product delivery
- Expert knowledge inphotonics, with specific experience in all/some of the following:
- Designing, manufacturing, packaging of integrated photonics circuits
- Atomic physics systems
- High stability and precision photonics systems
If you have any experience with the Lithium Niobate integrated photonics platform, or any Quantum networking / communication / computing experience, this would be considered a huge plus.
