Mental Health Night Shift Support Worker

Hours - 9pm - 9am. _**This will be 4 days on and 4 days off. In total this means you will work16 days in a month and only work 3 weekend days out of 8 every month.**_
**Salary**: £22,000 /year
Living Horizon are a specialist EUPD supported living provider, the only one of our kind in Buckinghamshire. We have four supported living units. Our residents have a range of complex mental health issues and need 24-hour support to ensure they are encouraged to lead independent lives and strive toward a better future with person-centred recovery plans.
The role involves:
- Providing key worker support to our residents, including one to one individual support
- Enabling our residents to independently manage their personal and domestic tasks and to undertake activities of daily living
- Monitoring progress and reporting to senior staff on the delivery of support strategies and their effectiveness with our residents
- Contributing to the protection of our residents from the risk of abuse and harm to themselves and others who use our services
- Encouraging clients to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect their mental well-being and physical health
The post holder will possess:
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good listening skills, proactive attitude, caring nature, resilience, ability to work proactively with challenging behaviour and to be a team player
- An understanding of Mental health is preferred but not essential
