An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technologist position within the Radiation Protection and Imaging Physics section [RPIP] of Medical Physics at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The section provides scientific and technical support to a range of clinical services within NHS Lothian & NHS Fife.

You should be qualified to SCQF level 9 in a physics, engineering or clinical technology discipline. Equivalence via qualifications supported by relevant technical experience and knowledge may also be considered. In particular experience or knowledge of radiation physics, imaging physics and medical devices is desirable. There is also opportunity to develop your skills and training is given to meet the RCT Radiation Physics scope of practice. This includes completion of a training portfolio and viva as part of IPEM’s clinical technologist training scheme.

The section has a clear focus on quality and patient services. You will join an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team supporting a range of clinical technical work related to ionising and non-ionising imaging equipment.
