**Responsibilities**:
As a Scrub Practitioner - General (ODP), you will play a vital role in supporting the surgical team during various procedures. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment and instruments are ready for use
- Assisting the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment
- Passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Monitoring the patient's condition throughout the surgery and taking appropriate actions if any complications arise
- Providing support and reassurance to the patient before, during, and after the surgery
- Accurately documenting all procedures and maintaining patient records
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care

**Qualifications and Skills**:
To be considered for the role of Scrub Practitioner - General (ODP), you should have:

- Valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- A recognized qualification in Operating Department Practice (ODP)
- Prior experience working as a Scrub Practitioner in a hospital or clinical setting
- Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
