We have an exciting opportunity for a Divisional Governance Facilitator to join the Divisional Governance Team in improving patient care within the Family Health Division

The post holder will support the divisional and directorate teams in the monitoring, sharing and identifying of issues linked with Quality, Risk and Safety. They will also support the division in the provision of information to directorates and management teams to enable improvement in patient experiences within Family Health.

You will need skills of patience, enthusiasm, resilience as well a technical IT skills.

The Governance Facilitator will support the Divisional Team in the co-ordination of all aspects of QRS & Clinical Effectiveness across the Division. The post holder will work with the Divisional Quality, Risk & Safety team, Divisional Leadership team (DLT), Care Group Leadership teams, Speciality QRS Leads, Matrons, Quality Risk & Safety Nurses and Specialty General Managers across DLT to embed a QRS culture throughout all specialities and all levels within the division.

Main duties of the job

Provide support for the Divisional Team in the delivery of an effective QRS agenda.

Facilitate and support the development of annual QRS programmes within the Division and to ensure all staff groups can contribute to the development of QRS programmes.

Identify priorities for action, taking account of national and local priorities, such as NHSLA, national reports and guidance papers e.g. Care Quality Commission Standards, NSFs, NICE guidance etc.

Ensure that QRS programmes reflect key areas for action, including those identified through risk assessment & management, complaints, service user feedback, clinical audit and research.

Provide regular updates to the Division on progress made in the delivery of the annual QRS programme and specific activities, making them aware of potential problems or obstacles.

Assist in the development and implementation of the Divisional Action Plan for QRS ensuring evidence is available to meet the internal and external requirements.

Support and encourage staff to undertake clinical audit based on the results of complaints, critical incidents, risk management issues and/or evidence of effectiveness, ensuring a unified approach across sites, and utilising results to change practice where this is indicated.
