**Job summary**:
The Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust is looking for a self-motivated and innovative individual to join our passionate and growing team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of our marketing and communications strategy, working with the whole team to lead and deliver on all areas of communications that will drive awareness of the Trust and it's aims to support and grow fundraising and service activity.

Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust office, Upton Snodsbury, Worcestershire, WR7 4NZ.
Flexible working arrangements available but primary base at the Trust office.
**Principal Responsbilities**
Working closely with our friendly team, you will work both on your own initiative and as part of the overall team to carry out a variety of digital marketing activities to further develop our brand awareness of childhood cancer, support to families affected by it, and fund research into better treatments and to provide marketing expertise to the team.
The role will involve:
- Generate creative, engaging content and ideas for fundraising and service awareness across all platforms and audience groups that drive increased targeted engagement to showcase our work and deliver out fundraising and service targets and ambitions.
- Extending the charity’s reach both locally and nationally by delivering inspiring marketing communications activity across a range of channels to include;
- Social media
- Digital marketing including website development and updates, SEO, newsletters, podcasts and blogs
- Press and PR to include event promotion, press releases, editorial content and display advertising
- Support and produce photography and videography for engaging and effective content
- Plan and manage a day-today communications calendar, working across teams and engagement priorities
- Conduct regular audits, monitor performance KPIs and associated data across all communication channels and deliver regular activity reports and recommendations to the Senior Leadership team and board of Trustees.
- Proactively develop and nurture relationships within the sector, with key supporters, media contacts, fundraisers and families to build and grow a strong portfolio of case studies, interviews, photographs and quotes.

- Flexibility - some out of hours work may be required including attending events, some early/late meetings and monitoring social media

- They will need to be naturally creative, enthusiastic, proactive, able to take initiative, adaptable and to prioritise work commitments.

- Be able to work some out of hours including attending events, attending some early/late meetings and monitoring social media.

**Knowledge (essential)**:
- Good level of general education with excellent written and excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good understanding of communications and engagement KPIs
- Understanding of GDPR, opt-in permissions and preferences
- Skills in Microsoft office, website design, digital graphics, SEO, social media and digital marketing
**Knowledge (desirable)**:
- Experience of working in the Third Sector
- Understanding of informed consent and safeguarding best practice
- Experience working with SharePoint and WordPress
**Work experience (essential)**:
- Experience of working in a marketing and communications role and designing, developing and producing compelling multi-media content
- Experience of writing for different audiences for a variety of different media
- Experience of working with websites and using content management systems
- Creative and inspiring social media content planning and delivery
**Work experience (desirable)**:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including GDPR, safeguarding
- Experience of developing and delivering successful and creative communication plans
