**Pay scale**:£21,236 pa pro rata for part time
**Hours**: Up to 30hrs per week

Worcestershire Association of Carers is a fast-paced community organisation passionate about delivering innovative, effective and relevant services in partnership with individuals, communities and stakeholders.

**Purpose of the role**

The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of our Marketing & Communications strategy across Worcestershire & Herefordshire. You will work closely with the Marketing & Communications Manager and the wider organisation to ensure that the work we do reaches people across the two counties and informs professionals. To achieve this will involve utilising a range of marketing tools including traditional and digital approaches.

**Responsibilities**
- Overview_
- Support the execution of the Marketing and Communications strategy, plans and workflow
- Run the organisations social channels to improve engagement with existing and new audiences. Hands on creation of posts, campaigns and digital materials.
- Create engaging marketing materials for all campaigns
- Plan and co-ordinate key seasonal events
- Co-ordinate and support fundraising events
- Social Media_
- Maintain and build the organisation’s social media presence, ensuring social media channels have engaging content with a consistent, strong voice to maximise potential for exposure among our target audiences.
- Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to create and develop digital campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms, including the creation of visual assets and development of campaign messaging.
- Manage a calendar of social media and website activity.
- Monitor and report on engagement, number of followers and website referrals to inform best practice for post timing and content.
- Work with Marketing and Communications Manager to manage social media marketing before and during WAC events, evaluating success in terms of event sign-ups and engagement to inform future event planning.

- Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the organisation’s website, including making edits and creating new content.
- Ensure the website content is proofread and accurate, and any broken links or errors are promptly corrected.
- Work with external website developer to resolve issues with the website and further develop design of website to accommodate emerging needs.
- Marketing_
- Produce in-house marketing materials including event brochures, graphics and videos using platforms such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint and other editing tools.

- Embrace the charity’s ethos, vision and values whilst continually seeking ways to build stronger and long-lasting initiatives that help bring the values to life.
- Keep up to date with charity sector developments, best practice initiatives and relevant training.
- Identify ways of streamlining processes and improving ways of working within the charity.
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as requested by the management team

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

You are experienced in handling many projects at one time and you are used to working in a fast-paced, challenging environment, such as a start-up or small charity.

You have the creative flare and ability to produce creative assets to communicate key messages whilst also having a keen eye, able to proof-read and correct copy.

You should be familiar with running all aspects of digital marketing and design including outsourcing to others
- Essential Skills_
- Demonstrable experience of successfully working within a digital communications environment
- Confident in using and running Social Media accounts
- Experience in reporting on campaign outcomes
- Excellent copywriting skills for websites, social media, blogs and newsletters
- Excellent ability to generate and communicate new, out-of-the-box ideas
- Experience and understanding of digital marketing and a proven ability to increase reach and awareness
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign and Photoshop
- Experience in website maintenance (experience using WordPress preferable)
- IT literate with proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload, multi-task, work to tight and changing deadlines
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with the proven ability to build good working relationships within the office and with key stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with initiative to develop campaigns
- A collaborative team player who is prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in alongside a small and dedicated team
