Do you want a role where you can support the shaping of a new service for families and children?

We are currently recruiting a Family Liaison Worker, to join our Thrive programme in Buckinghamshire.

**About the service.**

The Thrive Service provides tailored support to families, which is delivered by a team of Family Liaison Workers, supported by parenting and peer mentors and family advocates. The aim of the service is to encourage and empower families to build their skills, confidence, and parental wellbeing to create a stable positive environment for their children.

**About the role.**

Building positive, empowering relationships, you will provide individualised support, advice, and practical help to build capacity and capability through a range of evidence based, and outcome focused interventions. Support could include, but not limited to, substance dependency, domestic violence, learning difficulties, social exclusion, and lack of parenting skills.

You will work alongside the Volunteer Supervisor to match families with an appropriate volunteer dependent on family needs. In addition, you will be involved in developing the service and working with the team to set up new hubs.

This role is permanent, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, the service is delivered flexibly between the hours of 07.30 - 17.30.

The post is mainly based in Aylesbury, however some travel across Buckinghamshire may be required on occasion.
- Due to the nature of this role, a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is required._

Salary £22,675- £25,380, per annum, dependent on experience.

**What do we need from you?**

You should have at least one year’s experience of working with or volunteering with families, carers, or children, and have a good level of knowledge of some of the issues that can affect everyday life, such as mental health, anxiety, depression, and the difficulties faced by parents/carers of children with behavioural issues.

Your excellent active listening skills, alongside your ability to adjust your approach, and find creative solutions, help you to build empowering relationships with the families you are supporting.
