Working for Finance Director, Global Support Functions (GSF), the Finance Analyst (Fixed Term Contract 6 months) will support the GSF Finance team in providing high quality global analysis and reporting spanning all of the Global Support Functions including(but not limited to) Finance, IT, Scientific Affairs, Business Development, HR, Legal, IP, Compliance, Admin & Building Services (Real Estate), Communications, Quality and M&SS (Marketing & Sales Services).

Analysis will include monthly performance reviews (Actuals vs Budgets) to help ensure global functional spend delivers within budget. The Analyst will help to bring timely insight and analysis to understand trends and variances.

The Analyst will play an integral part in all Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities for the GSFs including supporting the preparation of budgets.

The role will help to drive synergies and consistency in ways of working across the GSF Finance team, in turn delivering efficiency improvements and more time to focus on value-add.
- Monthly analysis of Actuals vs Budget for each GSF Function ($m & FTEs). Design and establish a standardised reporting pack to share monthly results. Work with the GSF Finance Partners to build insight and help propose any corrective actions.
- Hands-on support to the development of GSF Global Budgets. Help ensure that Foundation budgets (submitted by local/country entities) align with centrally-determined budget & FTE expectations. Manage and coordinate large-scale data flows (IACs to centreand vice versa), using both offline and system-based data sources.
- Develop consolidation system expertise on behalf of the team ('Foundation’, a Tagetik-based system). Drive reporting efficiency for the GSF team. Become an expert in both inputting data to Foundation (e.g. annual budgets) and extracting data efficientlyfor the purposes of analysis.
- Deputise for GSF Finance Partners as required.
- Deliver other ad hoc projects and analyses to support the Finance Director, GSF or GSF Finance Business Partners, including responsibility for POs and vendors for Global Finance

**Qualifications** Education
- Degree or MBA educated

Certifications or Designations
- Qualified or Part-qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

Experience
- Relevant experience working in a global corporate environment
- Highly analytical
- Experience of efficiently leveraging data from source financial systems
- Highly skilled user of Excel (including pivots, LOOKUPs etc.)
- Strong prioritisation and multi-tasking skills
- Autonomous and able to assume end-to-end accountability for role scope
- Ability to liaise effectively with the FD GSF, GSF Business Partners and multiple matrix stakeholders (financial and non-financial) and to build effective relationships at all levels
- Effective team player who demonstrates passion for making a positive difference
- Comfortable working at pace and able to take an agile approach
- Results-orientated
- Strong problem-solving skills and able to deal with ambiguity
