The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for five Summer Events Assistants to work 12 hours per week on a part-time fixed term contract from July 2023 to October 2023. You will provide support and assistance to the Shakespeare Houses Team in the successful delivery of weekend public events at Mary Arden’s Farm in Wilmcote.

You will welcome visitors, provide consistently high standards of visitor care at all times, inspiring and engaging our visitors, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. You will assist with the set-up of events and activities in a timely manner, communicating with staff and volunteers. You will need to embrace being outdoors and you will need to be respectful of being around farm animals.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to work practically, creatively and imaginatively with children and their families and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. You should have good organisational and planning skills coupled with the ability to respond to spontaneous challenges that may arise. You should have great customer service skills, understanding the needs and expectations of visitors to a heritage site.
