Multiple permanent roles within the NHS, based in either Salford or Darwen within Payroll offering between £18,000 and £24,000 per annum plus public sector benefits.

**Description**

The key responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk will include, but may not be limited to;
- Make authorised payments to employees accurately and promptly in accordance with the Trust and Client Organisation Standing Financial Instructions, NHS Terms and Conditions of Service, Statutory legislation, Pension legislation, Contract and Service levelagreements and internal office procedures.
- Prepare and ensure that all payments are made in accordance with National Terms and Conditions unless specific written approval or local variations.
- Accurate input of high volume and complex employee/payroll data into the Electronic Staff Record System within agreed deadlines.
- Process payments correctly within scheduled deadlines, ensuring all input has been checked for authorisation and accuracy. Take corrective action as appropriate.
- Utilising report functionality to identify any payments processed and to identify any discrepancies.
**Profile**
- Detailed knowledge of HMRC & National Insurance regulations;
- Knowledge of payroll procedures and using ESR;
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, along with effective listening skills;

Very nice to have;
- NHS Payroll and Pensions experience, including using NHS Pension Online system
