**About the role**:

- As a Category Associate, your expertise will crucially support the growth and stability of our product portfolio. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of a vibrant cross-functional team, driving innovation and ensuring excellence in everything we develop. This **Associate** role is to manage the formulation aspects of NPD/EPD projects on our brand Gaviscon within Health including a significant contribution to innovation and the development of a robust pipeline.**Your responsibilities**:

- Planning, managing and implementing all technical work associated with innovation and development projects
- The progression of the formulation aspects of project initiatives through to their target launch dates
- Managing relationships and working cross functionally with formulators, HTSG/Pilot Plant Team, Analytical Lead and others to ensure delivery
- Co-ordinate and Manage the end to end process of in-house development which will include formulation feasibility work in various formats, including liquids and tablets
- Communicating and liaising with stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing risk to enable successful execution
- To take ownership of and drive forward the formulation aspects & technical development of NPDs from concept through to launch both internally and with 3rd parties, ensuring project milestones are delivered on time and to plan.
- Line Management/mentoring of Associates within a laboratory environment

**The experience we're looking for**:

- Educated to Degree Level in a Scientific Discipline
- Experience of working within a Formulation environment (lab included)
- Experience within an FMCG industry preferably of a similar nature
- Experienced in stakeholder management, leading conversations to ensure challenges are overcome and actions completed
- Proven ability to contribute to R & D activities, with experience in a GMP environment being beneficial.
- Competency in project management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A record of effective problem-solving, demonstrating independence and initiative-taking.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a talent for leading, inspiring, and collaborating with a team.
- A results-focused approach, ready to evaluate and embrace calculated risks for innovation.
