JOB PURPOSE The National Pathology Imaging Co-operative is a £37m programme funded by the UK Industry Strategy Challenge Fund to accelerate the development of opportunities in Digital Pathology and Artificial Intelligence. The post holder will provide project support skills to the Programme, Senior Project Manager, as required, and assist with or lead aspects of the following: Ensure all project risks and issues are logged and monitored. Ensure project lessons are logged and reported.

Administer aspects of the project Communication Plans. Provide support and training to clinical and administrative staff impacted by the change programme. Carry out benchmarking activities under the guidance of the Responsible Project Manager or Implementation Analyst. Carry out system testing activities under the guidance of the Responsible Project Manager or Implementation Analyst.

Support the Responsible Project Manager or Implementation Analyst with meeting administration. Contribute to training programme development & implementation. The post holder will often be occasionally required to work without supervision. 3.

JOB DIMENSIONS The NHS has embarked upon an ambitious modernisation programme with a key objective to improve its service to patients. This programme is underpinned by Information Technology and the electronic patient record. The Trusts commitment to the national programme delivering technology-enabled change includes the implementation of a number of interim and long-term IM&T solutions. It is necessary to introduce new working practices and procedures to achieve optimum benefit from the new IT.

The Project Support Officer will provide essential support to the programme in project administration and will support the team in delivering new technology and processes in the clinical environment. The Project Support Officer will need to be able to communicate information effectively, concisely and accurately in a constantly changing environment. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within their own area, seeking guidance from the Responsible Project Manager as required. 4.

ORGANISATIONAL CHART 5. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Essential Good IT skills which include MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good organisational skills. Good written & verbal communication skills.

Ability to work on own initiative and to stringent deadlines. Ability to work with staff at all levels. Good interpersonal skills. Experience of working with multidisciplinary teams.

Experience of working in a structured project environment. Desirable A knowledge/experience of working within an Information Technology environment Experience of training staff. Experience of working in a ward or other clinical environment. Experience of working within an acute Trust.
