**Role**:Purchasing Manager
**Location**:Maidstone
**Salary**:£35,000 per annum plus bonuses
**Report to**:Head Of Finance
Our client a highly sucessful organisation with offices in both the UK & Europe are looking for a Purchasing Manger to join their team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money
- Analyse market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Research and identify potential suppliers
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Evaluate and monitor contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Keep abreast of market trends and new products
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Develop and maintain purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures
- Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of materials
- Maintain inventory of purchased products
- Provide accurate and timely data to support project management and other stakeholders
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure adherence to contracts and quality standards
- Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with legal requirements
- Identify and recommend cost saving opportunities
- Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with ethical and legal standards
**Skills/Experience required**:

- A-Levels or Equivalent level qualifications (Degree Level - Desirable)
- MCIPS Qualification
- Min 5 years buying / purchasing experience in a relatable industry / sector (Construction / Manufacturing)
- Logistics Experience / Knowledge

Please note that this is a full time office based role and the hours of work are, Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday 08:30 - 14:30
