**Job Purpose**:
The HR Advisor plays a central role in advising both managers and employees on recruitment strategies and employee retention, you will be involved in helping hiring managers with their interview techniques and writing job descriptions. Reporting to the HR Manager, this position involves providing support in a broad range of tasks and responsibilities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management and updating and writing company policies.

The HR Advisor serves as the primary contact for all recruitment matters within the business. You will be involved in employee relations and performance management situations. As such, you will play a vital role in ensuring the consistency of policies and prompt resolution of HR enquiries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Assist hiring managers in refining interview techniques and drafting job descriptions.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns and manage the applicant appointment process.
- Monitor key recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates.
- Handle various HR queries throughout the business promptly and effectively.
- Review and update job descriptions to align with the business needs.
- Research and recommend performance evaluation methods and employee appraisal systems.
- Interpret and uphold internal policies, especially those related to attendance and conduct.
- Monitor, review, and update all HR policies to ensure compliance with current legislation.
- Support the HR Manager in capability investigations, including grievance, appeal, and disciplinary processes.
- Drive business performance in alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Act as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees, and applicants.
- A willingness and ability to travel when required.

- Proven work experience as an HR advisor, HR consultant, or similar role.
- Ability to advise and collaborate with senior staff members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), experience with online HR systems is advantageous.
- Sound knowledge of employment legislation.
- Personable with strong communication and relationship-building capabilities across all levels of the business.
- Ability to write clear and compliant company policies.
- Driven, determined, and practical, with the ability to solve problems quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in a changing environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Professionalism and integrity.
- Excellent Presentation skills.
- Commercial acumen.
- Ability to use online HR systems.

**Qualifications**

**Essential**
- Minimum of 4 years' experience working in HR.
- Previous experience of working at Officer or Advisor level.
- Certification already obtained from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or similar. Possibly already working towards CIPD qualification Level 5

**Desirable**
- Completed CIPD qualification Level 5.
- Experience of multi-site operations.
