The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.**Overview of role**- We aspire to use our knowledge of the travel industry and understanding of Mott MacDonald’s requirements, to deliver best in class business travel services: prioritising health, safety and sustainability as core deliverables.- We work closely with internal stakeholders across all Mott MacDonald Regions, as well as our external partners and network (for example, Travel management companies & technology providers and our industry peers in the world of corporate travel management).- The role of **Travel Specialist i**nvolves a variety of responsibilities and challenges and is never boring A typical day might include attending meetings with suppliers to problem solve and plan improvements, writing user guidance documents or presenting top tips in user forums, listening to & responding to user feedback, discussing & evolving team processes or systems configuration and attending travel industry networking events.**Location of this role is flexible to any office within the UK**:

- Professional outlook, with effective customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills whilst managing a variety of projects and service ticket items.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - with the ability to adapt style to different audiences.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a tenacity to find and resolve root causes.
- Adaptable and flexible team player - able to work collaboratively to support shared goals and objectives.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
- Good knowledge of business travel management processes. This may include: Travel management companies, Online booking tools, GDS systems, Airline and hotel sales practices and operations, Travel security and risk management, Travel data analytics.
- Ability to understand technical explanations and solutions and translate these for non-technical people.
- Good knowledge of Mott MacDonald governance and service management tools and processes. This may include: STEP, ServiceNow, Compass, Connect Business.
