Accounts Payable Team Leader

**Your role in a nutshell**:
We are recruiting a permanent, full-time Accounts Payable Team Leader for our global HQ in Littlehampton, West Sussex (hybrid working).

**More about the role**:
Responsible for managing and monitoring the Accounts Payable Team on a day-to-day basis, including developing skillsets.

Setting and monitoring KPIs, providing clear guidance to the team, and prioritising tasks when there are competing requests and during periods of intensive workload.

Responsible for overseeing the processing of invoices/credit notes for the most complex vendors in an accurate and timely manner.

Responsible for management of monthly key statement reconciliation files and development of a summary schedule for reporting

Responsible for ensuring the ledger is up to date and that aged items are being actioned in a timely basis by the team

Responsible for SOX and internal control compliance in the accounts payable function

Responsible for weekly and monthly operational reporting, and month end reporting pack for the function

Responsible for stakeholder engagement for key vendors

Responsible for driving efficiencies and process improvements within the Accounts Payable Function

Ensure team targets and KPI are achieved and provide outstanding customer service, guidance and support to internal and external customers

Willingness to challenge and change current process and ways of working, work cross functionally with stakeholders to work more efficiently without compromising quality of output or deadlines

As much as practical, adopt consistent ways of working across all markets

Ensure business process are developed, documented and adhered to

Perform other related duties as requested including project work

**What we look for**:
Educated to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent

Previous experience of leading a team in an international finance environment in Accounts Payable

Experience of working in an FMCG/Retail environment

Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, intermediate excel essential

Knowledge of SAP/BW or similar systems desirable

Excellent organisational skills combined with accuracy and attention to detail
