**The role -**

I am looking for a dedicated, nurturing and enthusiastic One to One Teaching Assistant to work in a school based in Surrey. You will be working amongst the most incredible team of professionals of Occupational Therapists, Nurses, SEN teachers, Speech and Language Therapists, strong Senior Leadership and more. As a One to One Teaching Assistant, you will be working within schools supporting children who have Autism/ASC, Severe Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and more. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge with all the training available to help you with career progressions, such as Attention Autism, PECS, Makaton, Intensive interaction and more

As a One to One Teaching Assistant, you will have the working hours of 8:55 am - 3:30 am Monday to Thursday and a 4:30 pm finish on Friday and will be based within a school that caters to 150 aged 2-19 that is looking to expand. This school is dedicated to supporting children with Autism/ASC, Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). In this school, you will be working with a team of dedicated professionals, such as Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, Senior Leaders, SEN teachers and many more, in a school that has outstanding facilities such as a hydrotherapy pool, outdoor learning space, library, sensory room, sports hall, soft play, big classrooms and more

**What to expect as a One to One Teaching Assistant -**
- As a One to One Teaching Assistant, you can expect to be in classes with no more than 8 students with up to 5 TA supporting children
- You can expect to have to take children out of the classroom and work 1:1 with children in challenging situations
- Be surrounded by friendly and supportive staff that can guide you through and help you with progression into your career
- The One to One Teaching Assistant will have the opportunity to support children with various different strategies for communicating with the children, such as Makaton, picture cards, Makaton, visions boards and more
- Working in a creative environment where the curriculum is adapted to meet the needs of the children, this means adapting the national curriculum, giving the children free time to help them develop
- As a One to One Teaching Assistant, you can expect to use art, dance, drama and more into the day when interacting with the children

**The ideal One to One Teaching Assistant -**
- The ideal 1:1 Teaching Assistant must have a bubbly and can-do attitude
- This is an ideal role for anyone who has just got out of university and wants to kickstart their career or even learn something new; they just must have the right attitude
- Must be able to build strong and meaningful relationships with staff and students to help children develop
- Personal Care is required for this role, so the Teaching Assistant must be confident in supporting
- The 1:1 Teaching Assistant must have good communication skills and be able to communicate and be able to work in a team
