Syntech Recruitment are searching for a Senior Buyer for our Automotive client based out near Newbury. This role involves being the operation Procurement lead for indirect spend, across a range of goods and services.
**Senior Buyer Duties**
- Source, negotiate and purchase a range of goods and services in line with procurement polices and procedures
- Create and put in place strategic supply chain initiatives with the goal of reducing cots and improving efficiencies
- Develop and work with a set of reporting tools to demonstrate and track progress against all spend initiatives
- Build excellent and long-standing working relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Provide regular feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency on procurement issues
- Become the "Go To Person" for all indirect procurement

**Senior Buyer Profile**
- Proven experience in managing indirect spend across multiple categories, such as Facilities, Warehousing, Operations etc etc
- Strong ability to work and analyse data to produce reports
- MCIPS (Level 4) or workings towards is desirable but not essential
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of stock/materials management techniques such as Consignment / Vending / VMI etc etc
- Confident in building relationships with suppliers
