Energy Network Coordinator

The successful applicant will be an experienced event organiser and communicator of scientific content. An eye for detail is desirable, along with a good understanding of and willingness to learn about a broad range of energy issues. Key duties include acting as a focal point/point of contact for energy research at Oxford, and promote energy research at Oxford. You will organise, promote and facilitate - in collaboration with the Energy Network convenor and topic theme leads - a term-time energy seminar series. These seminars may be held outside standard office hours, to avoid conflict with teaching time. This includes liaising with internal and external speakers and with the venue(s). You will liaise with web developer on improvements and alterations to the website functionality, and access to and presentation of content.

You will have IT/digital skills including effective communication using Microsoft Office packages and running online and hybrid seminars and meetings, including recording and posting content. The ability to manage and prioritise a varied and busy workload and work to deadlines is essential. You will have the ability to forge good relationships with a wide range of researchers and other stakeholders. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy, maintaining records is a must. You will have sound financial skills for management of allocated budget and interaction with finance staff.
