The Business Continuity Analyst will be supporting the maintenance and testing of Liberty Global’s business continuity programme. The role will support the business plan activities necessary to enable the organization to manage a crisis event as well as meet Regularity, Legal & compliance requirements as part of BC planning. The analyst will collaborate with the Liberty Global Business Continuity Manager (BCM) and provide support the LG disaster recovery manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Maintain and embed the Business Continuity Programme comprising of documentation and associated activities, by ensuring alignment to the Liberty Global BCM Policy and supporting BCM standards, controls and guidelines.
- Maintain appropriate BC and DR documentation for all staff and locations to ensure they remain current and relevant to the business needs.
- Lead and facilitate BC and DR exercises and tests in order to identify potential gaps in BC and Service Continuity plans.
- Lead and Direct the Global Operating Companies (OpCos) in accurately assessing BC risks as defined by the Risk Management process and track risks with the support of the Risk Management Team.
- Advise and direct the nominated Crisis Manager in crisis incident resolution and disaster recovery. Assist in lesson learnt and policy and process developments in this area.
- Lead and work with a wide range of multi-functional teams to conduct business impact assessments, identify critical services, define recovery objectives and map critical dependencies.
- Liaise with and support Security & Resilience Ambassadors throughout the Liberty Global BC programme and develop effective working relationships.
- Liaise with IT/Technology service continuity teams to identify gaps within infrastructure, set recovery time objectives and convey business needs, expectations and demands.
- Prepare and deliver any BC and DR status reporting as required by Liberty Global business.
- Lead the delivery and implementation of any Liberty Global training requirements as part of the exercising and testing of the BCM controls and standards.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Practical experience Resilience methodologies - Business Continuity/Disaster recovery (5 years)
- Knowledge or experience in BC or Operational Resilience processes and Standards (ISO22301).
- Experience working in a large global matrix organization.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong inter-personal and collaboration skills, able to interact across all levels of the organisation and communicate with and influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build, establish and maintain influential relationships throughout the global organisation in order to drive effective flow of information
- A self stating individual with the ability to work under own initiative and effectively manage customer and inter-departmental relationships.
- Embrace change and feedback to improve how you work and ensure delivery is smart and efficient.
- Present and welcome new ideas and develop processes and governance under a continuous improvement ethos.
- Provide clear and frequent communications to the team and senior business stakeholders.
- The ability to prioritise workloads to meet key deadlines across multiple interdependent programmes and workstreams.

- Excellent documentation and report writing skills.

DESIRABLE SKILLS & ABILITIES:

- Demonstrable experience of optimally crafting, delivering and improving BC and DR programs for large organizations across multiple sites and/or countries.
- Business Continuity Institute (BCI), Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), or other business continuity professional certification.
- Knowledge or experience of the telecommunications industry.
- Knowledge of Information security and understanding of security controls, processes and common frameworks (NIST CFS, ISO27001, CIS ect).

PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Educated to ‘A’ level or with equivalent experience gained within a Telecommunications and/or Security environment in delivering large cross-functional and/or transformational projects.
