Due to the successful growth of Spencer Academy Trust, we are seeking to appoint a proactive and enthusiastic Estates, Facilities H&S Apprentice with a “can do” attitude to join our Central Team. This is an exciting and varied role in which no two days are the same

This post holder will be expected to:

- Communicate and contribute effectively in both spoken and written word adapting to the audience to present information or training in an assertive, engaging way
- Work with others (colleagues and contactors) and lead by example in a collaborative and non
- confrontational way
- Be able to adjust to change in relation to the requirements of the organisation
- Be part of and support a proactive compliance, Health and Safety culture
- Support in the identification of areas for improvement and suggest sustainable innovative solutions
- Be involved in improvement projects across the estate
- Be able to work within own level of competence and know when to seek advice from others
- Support the Estates Director & Health and Safety Manager with administrative tasks
- Review and update risk assessments where necessary
- Review our reporting systems and raise any concerns to the Health and Safety Manager

The Estates team manage a variety of premises across the Trust, including offices, primary and secondary schools, and will be involved all aspect of Facilities Management - Health & Safety, Buildings, contractors, hard and soft services even new buildings.

As this is an exciting and varied role, we can offer the successful person an NVQ in either Facilities Management via the IWFM route, or study Health & Safety resulting in the grade of IOSH (Tech) level. Either way, your apprenticeship will cover all disciplines involved in a large Estate of over 26 properties, this is your opportunity to be the best you can be.
