Horizon Photographic is a successful and rapidly expanding School Photography provider, working throughout the UK. We specialise in working with young children (4-18) and offer a large range of photographic styles to our customers, including Class Group and Individual Portrait Photographs.

At Horizon, we pride ourselves on being a very friendly team providing an efficient and professional service to our schools. Being friendly, punctual and proactive is more important to us than your level of skill. Training is fully provided.

We are looking for an Essex-based Photographer, willing to travel as far as 80miles per day. All mileage expenses are fully covered and equipement is provided.

**The Job Role**:

- As a School Photographer, you will be providing a wide range of photography styles to our Schools including student individual portraits, class group photographs and family portraits.
- You will be working during term-time on a seasonal basis only. The majority of work will be undertaken in the months of **April
- July and September
- December**. Therefore, this role would suit somebody looking to work around another flexible job, or a creative looking to expand their income and ability.
- All jobs require early starts and you will need to be able to maintain a high level of energy throughout your working day.
- A certain level of fitness is needed in this role as the job requires some heavy lifting and constant movement.
- Occasionally staying away from home is required. Accommodation and sustenance costs are covered.
- Extensive training and equipment will be provided.
- This is a permanent seasonal job with ongoing benefits and room for career progression.
- Will have a strong ability to work with children of all ages; creating a happy, fun yet professional atmosphere.
- Be able to communicate comfortably with both adults and children in a friendly, personable and professional manner.
- Be able to work as part of a team, with the ability to follow instructions intricately, as well as having the confidence to work independently.
- Must have a very keen eye for detail.
- Must be flexible in working times
- schedule changes, etc we require a certain amount of flexibility from our photographers.
- Must be a confident driver and have a suitable vehicle for carrying a medium sized photography kit securely.
- Must be willing to travel; long distances are sometimes required.
- Must have good quality internet access and use of own computer/laptop.

**Experience/ Qualifications**:

- Qualifications in photography are not essential
- your personality is the most important thing to us. All training will be provided.
- Good computer skills will be needed.
- You will need to be educated to at least GCSE Level
- particularly in Maths and English.

**Good communication and calculation skills are essential for the role.**
- Experience with children is essential; whether it is within a family environment or a professional one we need photographers who can easily communicate with children making instructions clear but in a happy-go-lucky, patient and friendly manner. This is one of the most important elements that we look for in our photographers.
