Purchase Ledger Clerk

We are always looking for exceptional individuals to join our multinational group of talented professionals and right now we’re seeking to recruit a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team for the next six months.
As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments. You will be responsible for maintaining our purchase ledger, reconciling supplier statements, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Code and enter invoices into the accounting system
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all purchase ledger transactions
- Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice queries and payment status
- Assist with month-end closing activities and audits
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
