**Head of Healthcare Cleaning**

Mon - Fri ( with 1 in 8 weekends)
8am to 5pm

We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Healthcare Cleaning on a full time, permanent role based at the Royal Derby Hospital

As the Head of Healthcare Cleaning, you will be responsible for the overall management and strategic planning of the cleaning services. You will be required to maintain a high standard of service proactively highlighting areas for ongoing improvement and ensuring that the agreed contractual specifications are met.

**Key Responsibilities**_**_
- To manage the day-to-day service requirements within the Contract framework whilst ensuring a high standard of service delivery
- To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with all major stakeholders (colleagues, patients, visitors & Trust Staff) in line with best practice, in order to ensure satisfaction with our service
- To provide direction, guidance and support to managers and staff within the cleaning department to ensure they are able to carry out their role effectively
- To proactively set and manage objectives and targets for the service as outlined in the business plan. Be responsible for the preparation of plans, budgets and forecasts and the preparation of service related business cases
- To ensure that quality monitoring, activity reporting and performance monitoring is properly implemented and maintained

**Professional and personal competencies/qualifications**_**_
- Experience in a cleaning management role at a senior level
- Healthcare cleaning experience is preferred, but not essential
- Experience of client liaison and negotiation in service sector preferably health service
- Good communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Packages
