Job Description : Carer
Responsible to : Manager/RGN/Supervisor
- ________________________________________________
**Duties**:
- Receive reports at start of each shift.
- Carry out duties and tasks delegated under supervision of trained staff. This will include all aspects of personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, dressing and feeding of frail elderly residents.
- Report any abnormalities detected to R.G.N./Senior Staff.
- Undertake escort duties as appropriate.
- Form part of a team using key workers.
- Use mechanical aids provided, in appropriate manner, for moving and handling immobile clients.
- Answer call/emergency bells promptly, summoning aid as appropriate.
- Ensure bedrooms and residents’ personal belongings are kept tidy.
- Care and appropriate use of all Home equipment, and all residents’ possessions.
- Set/clear tables, trays, serve meals/drinks to residents and visitors.
- Read and comply with local policies and procedures.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings as appropriate.
- Undertake in-house training programmes.
- Undertake national training programmes, as appropriate.
Full Time, 12 hour shifts, 2 on 2 off pattern
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £11.34-£11.84 per hour
