Here at Envisics, we are an internationally based automotive technology company with an ambitious goal to re-define and revolutionise the next generation of in-vehicle experience with the development of an industry leading Augmented Reality Head Up Display.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled senior electronic hardware designer to join our team in Milton Keynes, developing complex automotive-grade electronics for our AR holographic head-up-display products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop robust, reliable and cost-effective electronic systems based around FPGA and SoC ASIC platforms.
- Rigorous design and verification of high-speed digital circuits, analogue circuits and on-board power supplies. This will include initial circuit concepts through to final production design, selection and characterisation of components, schematic design, layout guidance and verification planning and execution.
- Collaborate with the software, ASIC, optical systems and manufacturing teams, and other members of the hardware team, to integrate hardware and software components into the final system.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, including PCBA requirements, schematics, verification plans and results ,meeting the design and verification processes required for automotive products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware system issues with root cause analysis.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in designing complex electronics systems.
- Proficient in high-speed digital circuit design, simulation and verification.
- Strong knowledge of many of the following:

- Microcontrollers, high-speed memory, FPGAs, SPI, I2C, JTAG and other peripheral interfacing
- High-speed SerDes such as eDP, MIPI and PCI-e
- PMICs and other power supplies
- Photodetectors, laser drivers and related technologies
- A good understanding of PCB layout considerations for high speed logic, sensitive analogue circuits and power supply circuits, using HDI and traditional PCB design.
- A good understanding of DFM and DFT requirements for robust high-volume production.
- A thorough understanding of best-practice design for signal integrity, power integrity and EMC/EMI
- A thorough understanding of reliability, failure mode and tolerance analysis in design.
- A knowledge of C, C++, MATLAB, Python and/or LabVIEW for test automation would be an advantage.
- Experience with hardware debuggers, logic analysers, and other test equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
