We are hoping to recruit a member of staff to join our Facilities Team at Wimborne Community Hospital.

This portering multiskilled role is working in a friendly hospital environment, helping with cleaning and catering duties within the hospital.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday inclusive 0830 to 1630 each day.

There may be a need to change this pattern to work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service. Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence.

Any additional hours where they are worked at weekend attracts additional enhanced levels of pay and you will receive a generous annual leave allowance.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Porter duties - collecting of post, samples, receiving deliveries and supporting in unloading deliveries such as stores, linen and catering deliveries.

Cleaning - duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires. - weekly duties supporting the delivery of items throughout the site

Catering - all onsite training will be provided, experience preferred but not essential. Supporting our catering service within the main hospital kitchen.

A full UK driving license is essential for this role as you will be required to use the hospital vehicle to deliver meals to a nearby site.
