Payroll Coordinator

My client, a Student Union for a leading London University are seeking a Payroll Coordinator on an FTC basis for 2-3 months. To start IMMEDIATELY
You will support the delivery of a comprehensive and proactive Pay and Benefits service across the Union by ensuring all staff are paid correctly and on time each month through the administration of payroll, loans and benefit activities.
Responsibility for all payroll administration and employee benefit services.
Support data management through the inputting of data into our HR CARVAL- CIVICA system and running reports.
**Payroll Activities**
Manage the Payroll inbox and respond to queries from staff and managers, including providing calculation breakdowns.
Process and manage the monthly payroll including maintaining and update payroll files.
Gather and collate all student staff hours from student staff managers on a monthly basis and enter information into the HR system.
Calculate holiday pay for student staff on a monthly basis and process in the payroll.
Administering two pension schemes.
Responsible for implementing deductions as advised by Court, and other government bodies.
Enter a new statutory payment into the HR system e.g. sickness, maternity etc.
Ensure new starters and leavers are processed through the HR system in each payroll period.
Ensure all administration including any employee communication for NEST and AVIVIA pension schemes are completed each pay period and submitted to Nest and AVIVA.
Produce payroll file for checking of payroll each month.
Support Finance by providing Student Hours accrual reports.
Prepare benefit statements for all salaried staff each year.
**Managing Information and statutory reporting**
Managing the auto-enrolment process, ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsible RTI submission
Responsible for liaising with HR systems provider to ensure legislative compliance.
