We are recruiting for a Fabulous Volunteer Co-Manager to join a well-known and respected British Charity in Southwest London. The community grounds cover 66 acres providing sheltered accommodation and full nursing care (where necessary) for some 300 In-Pensioners,ensuring they are provided with the support and comradeship they need. This histories and iconic organisation are a pleasure to work with and work for.

The main purpose of this role is to take organisational lead for volunteering, responsibility for all volunteer administrative processes including induction, recruitment, communication, acknowledgement/recognition, budget management and training. Deliveringthis will contribute to developing a rewarding and meaningful volunteer experience that contributes to the ongoing success and day to day operations of the charity, enable existing managers to successfully manage volunteers and staff to work alongside you.

**Other duties will include**:

- Carry out risk assessments around volunteer activity both on site and on external excursions
- Ensure regular communication with all volunteers in the form of newsletters, birthday and Christmas cards, and important updates.
- Arrange social events to recognise and acknowledge the contribution of volunteers at least twice a year
- Manage the volunteer budget, including all volunteer expenses
- Maintain volunteer management software and other administrative processes
- Provide regular reporting on volunteer recruitment
- Monitor and evaluate activities and hours worked by volunteers
- Generate appropriate volunteering opportunities and role descriptions
- Ensure there is appropriate support, universal and role-specific training for volunteers
- Take the lead on recruitment and publicity strategies and campaigns with support from the Communications team
- Celebrate volunteering by nominating volunteers for awards; appoint volunteer ‘champions’
- Support colleagues in the day-to-day management of volunteers
- Other duties that may occur.

**To be considered for this position you must possess the following**:

- Experience of recruiting, training and supporting volunteers
- Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
- Excellent level of spoken and written English, Communicate sensitively and with compassion and clarity
- Good knowledge of the motivational and training needs of volunteers, together with pastoral support practices
- Excellent organisational skills
- High proficiency in computer literacy
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a flexible and pragmatic approach to reaching appropriate solutions
- Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales, sometimes under pressure
