**Job Description**:
**35 Hours per week. Monday - Friday. 9am - 5pm. With some flexibilty in hours required.**

**Purpose of The Role**:
You will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of a portfolio of clinical studies including the adherence to regulatory processes within the department. In addition to clinical/volunteer-based tasks, your role will include document generation and control, study tracking, logistics and data collection.

**Main Duties**:

- Assist with a variety of research studies, particularly in claim substantiation, efficacy and safety, working within study protocols and to ICH/GCP standards.
- Complete all documentation relating to volunteer participation, including database demographic data records, Case Report Forms (CRF’s) and electronic research records.
- Deal with telephone enquiries from volunteers, external and internal customers giving responses where this is within the post holder’s area of knowledge and ensuring that appropriate personnel are informed if appropriate in order for further actions to be taken.
- Contacting volunteers to recruit them for specific studies, scheduling times for their visits and performing the accordant administration on the database.
- Interact with study participants in relation to the requirements of the study and be able to work without supervision in some areas.
- Responsible for the testing, preparation, storage and shipping of research samples

**Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- A highly professional manner and presentable at all times
- Solid written and verbal communication skills and an excellent telephone manner
- Comfortable working as part of a Team
- Confident with working with members of the general public
- A keen eye for detail
- IT literacy - have a good knowledge of IT and Microsoft programs e.g., word, excel.
- A ‘hands-on’ approach and self-starting attitude.
- An assertive individual who will work well amongst a small team.
- An honest and enthusiastic approach and a willingness to learn.
- Flexible - will be required to work slightly irregular hours due to study schedules.
- Experience working with the public.

**Desirable**:

- Educational background in science field.
- Experience of GCP or GLP.
- Experience of working in Cosmetics, Hairdressing, Beauty, dentistry or medical/clinical setting.
- Experience in tissue handling/processing.
- Qualified in phlebotomy.
- Experienced in photography.
- Experience in working within a Laboratory/Research environment.
