Our client one of Europe's busiest ferry port, handling 33% of UK-EU trade, worth £144bn per annum. Each year more than 2 million freight vehicles, 2 million tourist vehicles and 10 million passengers pass through the Port.
This programme will see the operational land base capacity expand by 20%, deliver new refrigerated cargo infrastructure, provide a new 250 berth marina and create opportunity for further property development. Key Strategic Objectives 1) Ensure the assetbase and operational capability perform to the highest standards to enable continued traffic growth - safely, securely and reliably 2) Embed a customer centric approach, striving for 'Team Dover’ where all parties are working toward an aligned objective ofgrowth 3) Develop new opportunities to diversify the business, achieving growth rates in non-ferry business lines greater than to the growth in ferry business lines. An entrepreneurial approach, combined with an acquisitive drive will hallmark such success4) Leverage opportunities created from the Dover Western Docks Revival (DWDR) investment, as well as unlocking other areas of our estate, to create greater enterprise value and income streams 5) Establish a prominent reputation through engaging with all stakeholders,achieving high operating, compliance and governance standards, and delivering continued improvements in our business
**Job summary**:
Working within the IT department the purpose of this role is to:
- Provide day to day management of the department’s small IT Development team.
- Evaluate, prioritise and schedule IT development work and manage its delivery.
- Work with IT leadership to develop and maintain IT plans.
- Translate business requirements into IT development deliverables.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
? Experience leading software developments
? Knowledge of Agile methodology
? Hands on experience of software development or project management
Knowledge of the following is desirable:
? IT change management
? Microsoft 365 (inc. SharePoint)
? Microsoft Azure
? Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
