Sales Specialist Ppe and Cleaning

**Job Summary**:Working hours: Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm
**What you'll do in a typical day**:
- To sell and promote VWR’s range within the PPE and cleanroom ( PSS) portfolio to all accounts within the designated territory - this includes Industrial, Higher Education, Government, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Healthcare accounts
- To achieve and exceed all sales and margin related targets for the territory
- Demonstrate effective planning and organisation by developing a detailed territory plan to ensure all sales and margin targets are achieved. The plan should include account mapping of key decision makers for PSS portfolio
- Provide technical support to applicable internal teams that may include account managers, regional distributors, segment leaders and other sales leaders
- Effectively interrogate and interpret historical and current sales data to assess performance of the territory and use the data to effectively drive sales and margin growth
- Build a team network with your fellow sales team members to ensure the sharing of knowledge and market intelligence thus minimising duplication of activity
**TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Degree level achievement in a Scientific (Chemistry) or Technical related area - Preferred but not essential
- Full UK driving license
- At least 1 year experience i Sales within the scientific / technical industry or equivalent
- Experience of working in a high paced and target driven environment
- Experience of utilising and manipulating data in Excel
- Experience of utilising and designing presentation slide decks within PowerPoint or equivalent
- Experience of utilising and maintaining a CRM system or equivalen t
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE**:
- Field sales experience with a history of high achievement and high-level negotiation with customers within the industry and a relevant understanding of the market dynamics and competitor threats
- To have a strong knowledge base in PSS / critical environment
- Can advise and support the preparation of technical quotations and tenders for the product range
- To be able to understand the management of a short selling cycle and a longer term selling cycle
- To be able to identify new business and manage existing business and relationships
- To be able to build mutually beneficial relationships with customers, supplier partners and VWR associates
- Has a proven track record of commercial awareness and understanding, both in theory and practice.
- To have a solid understanding of variety of pricing models and disciplines that will lead to enhanced profit generation
- To be a highly self-motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail, technical awareness and outstanding interpersonal skills
- To have the ability to communicate at all levels in a scientific, technical and business environment
- To participate in and attend both local and European sales training events, meetings and conferences as required
