Role: Buyer
Location: Greater Manchester

**Salary**: £35,000 - £38,000
- Proven experience of Purchasing and Supply Planning.
- Experience within Manufacturing / FMCG - Packaging experience would be ideal.
- Strong communication and relationship building skills.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Experience using SAGE
- The ability to work well under pressure.

**Buyer - The Role**:

- You'll be responsible for ensuring that the company has a steady supply of raw materials. You'll also be working closely with teams responsible for product development to find new suppliers and products at the best price.
- Working with operations to ensure stock levels at a minimum whilst ensuring the the efficient running of the plant.
- Working with sales on existing and new projects to ensure the most value added / lowest cost solution is identified.
- Keeping up to date records of all our spend with a view to reducing costs through stock management and benchmarking exercises on all materials.
- Deliver results in cost management, forecast accuracy and innovation.
- Develop expertise around supply markets and changes that impact them.
- Liaising cross functionally with internal departments Delivering cost saving, quality, flexibility and strategic relationships
- Manage and develop supplier relationships and identification of new suppliers
- Additionally, updating the SAGE system with prices and contract information, monitoring pricing and potential savings, therefore it would be advantageous if you have prior experience with SAGE.
