**Role Purpose**

Your role as
**Assistant Buyer** is to support the UK organisation through active management of relationship of key suppliers including communication, consumables and couriers.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Delivering outstanding levels of customer service to internal customers and your key stakeholders
- Support in liaising with internal stakeholders to review and clarify requirements, ensuring value for money outcomes are achieved through the sourcing of goods or services
- Comparing and evaluating quotations received from potential suppliers and dealing with any incoming queries
- Maintaining stock levels of stationary including labels / pads for engineers and sim cards
- Ensuring the timely delivery of goods or services acquired on behalf of the business
- Supporting the induction process as a key point of contact for communication, consumables, and stationery
- Manage and maintain key databases
- Support the Buyer on managing relationships of key suppliers from the time initiating purchase through to payment
- Support Fleet team with new vehicle orders
- Support Travel Desk due to instances such as absences.
- Support Buyer on cost saving projects
- Raising purchase orders for suppliers managed centrally
- Administer the day to day running of consumable mailbox
- Administer the day to day running of the communication mailbox
- Administer the set up on new starters with self-serving suppliers
- Processing Procurement requests via SMAX
- Maintain and update SharePoint site as a communication Tool for all stakeholders
