Senior Health Care Assistant

We are looking for experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants across West Yorkshire to join our team.
- Routinely overseeing and monitoring care workers in a care home environment
- taking responsibility for the shift and for the service while on duty
- responding to emergencies and providing guidance and support to care workers
- assisting and enabling service users to dress, undress, wash, use the toilet and bathe
- serving meals to service users at table or in bed, assisting with feeding if required
- generally assisting with service users’ overall comfort and well being
- providing interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user
- helping with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits
- undertaking light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required
- monitoring service users’ conditions by taking temperature, pulse, respiration and weight, and contributes to record keeping
- liaising with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.

These roles will be ongoing, with varying hours between 8 and 12 per shift. We will have days, nights and weekends available as we build our list of care home contracts with our expansion into West Yorkshire.

As well as the normal compliance requirements as a carer, you must have proof of:

- All mandatory training in date
- Valid enhanced DBS certificate, preferably on the update system
- Minimum 6 months experience at a senior level in a care environment

(Preferred but not essential) - Proof of Covid Vaccinations
