Receptionist/optical Assistant

Blenkinsop Opticians are a small group of independent, professional and friendly Opticians in the communities of Garforth and Goole. We have been offering quality eye care and eyewear for over 40 years and pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service.

We are looking for a friendly enthusiastic person to join our team as a receptionist / optical assistant.

This is a part time position based primarily at our Garforth practice (although occasional cover may be required at our other practice in Goole).

**Thursday 9.00-5.30, Friday 9.00-5.30 and Saturday 9.00-1.00**

An additional day would also be available if wanted although the role in practice for that day would be more dispensing focused.

The role will include
- General administrative duties including making appointments and updating patient records.
- Assisting with customer enquiries.
- Working with our dispensing optician to help customers select spectacles including the fitting of spectacles and dispensing of lenses.
- Working with our opticians to assist with additional screening tests.

Previous optical experience is not necessary as full training and support will be given although previous experience in a reception / customer service role as well as basic computer skills would be preferred.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 19 per week

**Salary**: £11.10-£11.40 per hour
