Receptionist/optical Assistant

Blenkinsop Opticians are a small group of independent, professional and friendly Opticians in the communities of Garforth and Goole. We have been offering quality eye care and eyewear for over 40 years and pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service.

We are looking for a friendly enthusiastic person to join our team as a receptionist / optical assistant.

This is a part time position (26.5 hours over 3.5 days including Saturday mornings) based primarily at our Garforth practice although occasional cover may be required at our other practice in Goole.

The role will include
- General administrative duties including making appointments and updating patient records.
- Assisting with customer enquiries.
- Working with our dispensing optician to help customers select spectacles including the fitting of spectacles and dispensing of lenses.
- Working with our opticians to assist with additional screening tests.

Previous optical experience is not necessary as full training and support will be given although basic computer skills and experience working in a customer service or receptionist role would be preferred.

Part-time hours: 26.25 per week

**Salary**: £10.10-£10.40 per hour
