Finance Administrator

We have four Finance Administrator positions available to join an organisation building brighter futures for vulnerable children.

Position: Finance Administrator (campaigns)

Location: Milton Keynes (UK based applicants only)

Hours: Full-time - 36.5 hours per week

Contract: Fixed Term (4 months) from 1 Oct 2023 - 31 Jan 2024

**Salary**: circa. £21,255 per annum (FTE), depending on experience a good range of benefits.

About the role:
We are looking for four Finance Administrators to work on a campaign for four months. You will work with a team of 10 friendly individuals responsible for managing the organisation's voluntary income. This includes processing cheques, cash, postal orders, legacy donations, and corporate giving. You will be opening all incoming Christmas Campaign mail. This will give you the opportunity to get to know many colleagues from across the organisation and a wonderful overview of all aspects of our work.

The principal focus of this role will be to support the wider team in the processing and administration of our supporters' financial details and to print and pack internal letters to supporters. Depending on the day of the week or the time of year the role will variously include opening and sorting post and posting donations into the CRM.

Key responsibilities will include:
*Open and sort incoming mail ensuring all cash, cheques, credit card numbers and other sensitive data are handled securely in accordance with financial controls and Data Protection regulations in a timely and efficient manner.
*Check that the contents of cards/letters from supporters to their sponsored children are suitable and appropriate as set out in the organisation's child protection training and guidelines.
*Identify where supporter feedback or queries need to be escalated and take appropriate action.

About you:
You will have previous experience in general accounts administration, a keen eye for detail and accurate keying skills. You will be willing to work in our print room for part of each day and open to supporting the team wherever necessary.

All applicants must be willing to work within a Christian framework and be sensitive to its various expressions across cultures and denominations.

Key skills required to succeed in this role include:
*Educated to A level, preferably with English and Maths Grade C or above.
*Able to provide exceptional customer service.
*Excellent attention to detail.
*Ability to follow complex procedures.
*Ability to use own initiative to investigate and solve problems.
*Good interpersonal skills.
