We are looking for a **Term Time only Night Picker** to join our night operative team on a **Term Time** only **Full Time Permanent** contract, based at our **Aylesford** site.

A Watts Farms Picker is a fast paced role working alongside our night operatives to fulfil our orders efficiently, within the pick rate demands, whilst continuing to be respectful and work safely.

**About Us**

Watts Farm is a family-run business which farms over 600 hectares of land across 10 farms in Kent and Essex. We grow around 100 different crops each year. Our customers include major supermarket retailers, wholesalers, high end hotels and restaurants, airlines, school, and the public.

We sell the produce we grow and buy many other products from other UK growers. We also stock products which are grown overseas so we can offer our customers a wide product range.

You will be primarily responsible for ensuring that the orders that you pick and pack include the correct items and are undamaged when shipped. Our Pickers are responsible for hitting their daily pick and pack targets along with performing their work in a healthy and safety compliant manner. Your key duties and responsibilities include:

- Using scanners, barcodes and serial numbers to locate the correct items for shipment and to ensure that inventory is managed accurately
- Safely picking items from shelves, using forklifts or machinery where necessary
- Packaging completed orders in protective bubble wrap and cardboard boxes to protect them during shipment
- Completing necessary invoicing or paperwork to allow efficient tracking of orders
- Unloading deliveries from delivery lorries and assisting with the distribution of goods to their correct storage locations
- Restocking shelves using items from storage areas to ensure inventories are always full
- Meeting picking speed and efficiency targets as specified by Supervisors
- Performing warehouse cleaning duties if necessary
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to use picking machines in warehouses and manually pick items
- Knowledge of in-house databases and order tracking software
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work while standing for long hours and consistently lift at least 20 kg safely
- Knowledge of warehouse health and safety policies and procedures
- Attention to detail
- Your own transport
- Proven negotiation Skills
- Numeracy / Literacy (English Language -Oral and Written)
- Communication - Oral and written.
- Organisation / Time Management
- Team player. Proactive and results focused.

**Working hours**:
You will be required to work from Sunday to Thursday weekly, within term time. You will be working 48 hours a week.

The shifts will be:
**Sunday 1700 - 0300**

**Monday - Thursday 1400 - 0000**
