**Where and when do we need you?**

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker work our Residential Children’s home in Brecon Beacons National Park. Over time our 2 homes will accommodate up to 5 children aged between 11 and 18 and the focus will be to provide an enriching and positive environment ensuring we prepare the children in our care to move onto safe and nurturing foster care placements which will be achieved through early intervention.

As a Senior Support you will be involved exciting and rewarding things like:

- Delivering the highest standards of care, protection and support to our young people. Interacting with the children and young people and managing complex behaviour;
- Contributing towards the maintenance of a positive, safe and homely environment, including the promotion of a warm and accepting atmosphere, where the safety and care of young people is paramount.
- Supporting the team leader with the monitoring of good practice within the home and ensuring safe working practices within Child Protection whilst supporting to ensure that all staff on the shift team engage and build positive working relationship with the young people individually and as a group and have an understanding of group dynamics.
- Recording and reporting appropriately using the correct systems to escalate safeguarding concerns.
- Attending training and meetings, including interaction with the wider team.
- Cleaning, cooking, maintaining the home and being involved in lots of exciting adventures and activities such as camping, swimming, climbing, arts and crafts and much more

You will be working on a rota basis; Day 1: 9.00 to 23.00 with a sleep in, Day 2: 7.30 to 23.00 with a sleep in, Day 3: 7.30 to 10.00, Day 4 to 6 off.

**You and your specialisms**

As a Senior Support Worker in Frontline roles services, we help achieve our mission of making a difference through passionate care, support, and education. To support this, you will be required to have, or be working towards a minimum of the following qualification levels:

- A qualification relevant to the post, such as NVQ 3/level 3 Diploma in childcare
- To hold a relevant qualification or be working toward one such as a Level 5 Diploma in Children and Young People or Dip SW/bsc/BA Social Work.

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- BRECON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- Residential Care: 1 year (preferred)
- supervisory: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
