We are expanding our service and are looking for flexible, well-organised, enthusiastic and friendly individuals with a sound administrative background including excellent communication skills to join our busy Endoscopy reception and administrative team.

You will perform a wide range of clearly defined receptionist and administrative duties including meeting and greeting patients, making use of the Trust’s computer systems, preparing day of admission packs and answering telephone queries.

You will have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, be able to work well in a team and be able to use your initiative.

These roles require you to work across both hospital sites. The units are open Monday to Friday 08:00-21:00 and weekends/Bank holidays 08:00-18:00. You will be required to work various 7.5 hour shifts per day to ensure that the service maintains full reception cover.

You will work as a member of the Endoscopy service reception team and provide a professional and courteous “front of house” service for all staff and visitors attending the Endoscopy Units at both Royal Preston and Chorley Hospital acting in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

You will respond to requests for information promptly and efficiently using a variety of communication methods, ensuring that Trust Customer Service standards are adhered to.

Good keyboard skills and knowledge of the Quadramed and Solus Endoscopy computer systems would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

**Duties will include, but not be limited to**:

- Perform an ambassadorial role, representing the Endoscopy department "front of house" service acting in a professional and courteous manner at all times
- Answer telephone queries, take messages, direct where appropriate
- Use initiative to resolve conflicts in a mutually agreeable way, alerting line manager where necessary
- Communicate with a range of staff, service users and visitors to the department, utilising a variety of communication methods
- Data Entry
- Filing and record keeping
