**About the Banking Hub**

A temporary Banking Hub is offered in communities while plans for the permanent Hub progress. When the temporary hub opens, it will offer a counter service operated by the Post Office, where customers of all major banks and building societies can carry out regular cash transactions, It will also offer a Community Banker service where customers can talk to their own banking provider about more complicated issues, Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm. Community Bankers will work on rotation, with a different bank or building society available on each day of the week.

The temporary Banking Hub will be run by Cash Access UK. Cash Access UK is a not-for-profit company established by ten major high street banking providers. They provide cash and basic banking services in communities across the UK. These include shared Banking Hubs and deposit services.

**Main Duties and responsibilities**

As part of the role as a counter clerk, you will be responsible for:

- carrying out bill payment services;
- carrying out withdrawal and deposit banking transactions;
- following the correct processes and procedures under Post Office guidelines;
- working alongside the community bankers and be able to direct customers when they are available;
- advising customers of the schedule of Community Banker attendance;
- and the day to day running of the Banking Hub.

- The role is customer facing and involves all aspects of banking services provided at a Post Office counter.

- Applicants should already have a Post Office Smart ID and should be fully trained and compliant on the Horizon system.

**Experience**
Essential

⦁ Previous experience working in a customer service environment.

⦁ Full Post Office training and compliant on the Horizon system.

⦁ An in date Post Office Smart ID which can be used on Horizon.

**Qualifications**
Desirable

⦁ Minimum GCSE Maths equivalent to Grade C / 4

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
