The post holder is responsible for obtaining camera recordings of sewers and identifying and coding for any structural defects that may be present. This video coding is used alongside drawn up plans of the drainage network.

The postholder will be sent on a variety of formal training courses, combined with on the job learning to allow development to the role of Drainage Surveyor, within the expected timescale of 12 months.

The postholder will be required to operate any Company vehicle for which they are suitably qualified to undertake. As the duties of this post constitute those of a professional driver, all operation of Company vehicles must be undertaken in a safe manner and fully compliant with all relative law and legislation.

The postholder is contracted to work a 40-hour week, basic hours being 7.30am until 4.00 pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch. In addition, there is a significant requirement to be available to satisfy overtime requirements, which will include weekend and evening and night time working.

Key tasks and responsibilities
- Driving to a variety of client sites across the South West region. Provide guidance to your team in regards to what equipment, safety gear and supplies they need to check and load on to the rig each day.
- Complete and attend the MSCC5 Course
- Oversee your team with regards to health and safety regulations, road signage, and setting up a safe site by using risk assessments/method statements
- Ensure the camera and ancillaries are correctly set up before entry into sewer. Carry out the surveys in accordance with WRc specification.
- Complete all paperwork as required by the Oneline and its Client.
- Ensure all surveys are promptly handed into the office together with all relevant paperwork.
- Maintain the equipment in the surveying vehicle and ensure it is stowed clean and in a manner which will prevent any damage.
- Report any defects with equipment or vehicles to the Operations Manager.
- It is the duty of you and your team to ensure the vehicle is kept clean and presentable, and you should ensure this is to the required standard. It is your responsibility to check the oil, water and any other daily maintenance issues associated with the van or equipment.
- You will act as a representative of the company and must therefore behave in a professional and polite manner at all times.
- Ensuring the security of all Company vehicles and equipment.
- Works to be carried out in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation. The postholder holds full responsibility for reading and signing such documentation.
- Whilst on duty you must wear your issued Oneline uniform at all times which should be kept clean and in good order. The appropriate safety clothing/equipment should be worn as required on site.

Knowledge & Experience
- Must possess a full UK driving licence
- Previous knowledge and experience of completing RAMS documentation.
- Willingness to undertake any additional training to increase capability of the division in supplying a service to customers.
- Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided, but prior knowledge would be helpful / or experience of a related industry.
- Willingness to work outside in a range of environments in a variety of weather conditions, in an environment that can be considered as unpredictable and dirty.
